At the Interlift 2013 we exhibited, among other things, our flexyPage displays as a touch variant. On the one hand in the design CEF-Line 10.4 and as touch display behind a mirror. In the past few months we have tested many different layouts with regard to the usability of touch displays and touch-mirror displays.
We have learned that many things have to be taken into account when designing the display layouts to enable intuitive operation. Mirror displays also require their own designs, for example with clearly defined edges and strong contrasts. The neon design was particularly well received by our customers. If mirror displays are used as touch displays, we found that there is usually a stronger hurdle than with normal touch displays to touch the displays and that they become unsightly very quickly because fingerprints can be clearly seen. With normal touch displays, on the other hand, they are not visible. The future will show which technology will become widely accepted.
