Discontinuation notice for fel1A-XXX-YYYY and fel3B-XXX-YYYY products

Dear customers,

to meet the ever-increasing demands of the market, our flexyPage products are constantly being further developed. In the course of this, we have developed a new display controller in recent months, which will replace the existing products in the coming weeks.

Our experience of the last four years has been integrated into the new display controller. It will offer some new advantages such as smaller installation dimensions, a faster boot time and a stronger amplifier. Furthermore, it will serve as the basis for future innovations on both, software and hardware side. The display controller will also available with WLAN or 4G in the medium term. Security updates will continue to be provided for the discontinued display controllers in the devices with article numbers fel1A-XXX-YYYY and fel3B-XXX-YYYY.

Switching to the new display controller will result in the following changes:

1) We will end the production of the display controllers with the article numbers fel1A-XXX-1i333, fel1A-XXX-1i555, fel1A-XXX-1e333, fel1A-XXX-1e555, and fel1A-XXX-1e12555 for our own displays. OEM customers who produce their own displays based on the display controller can continue to purchase the products in quantities > 100.

For the transition to the new display controllers, we will provide the datasheets and documentation of the new devices in the coming weeks.

2) Over the next few months, we will be upgrading our LT-Line and DM-Line series displays fel1A-XXX-YYYY and fel3B-XXX-YYYY to the new display controller. The article number of the new devices is fel4B-XXX-YYYY. We plan to complete the transition by Q4 / 2018.

Mechanically, the new displays of the LT-Line and DM-Line series are compatible with the discontinued models and can replace them as spare parts. The dimensions of the cutout for the displays and the positions of the mounting holes are retained.

3) The display controller for controlling external monitors and TVs 'Boxed CAN R3' (fjt2A-01A) will also be replaced by a new type 'Boxed CAN DVI' (fel4A-XXX). This transition will begin in Q4 / 2018 and will be completed by Q2 / 2019.

Orders for the old type 'Boxed CAN R3' (fjt2A-01A) will be accepted until Q1 / 2019.

We will continue to provide security updates for the 'Boxed CAN R3' display controllers (fjt2A-01A).
